An Indtroduction to You

Well hi!  You don't know me, well not yet but you should!  I'm you in a way and you are me!  I'm your imaginary friend and I'm here to show you how to imagine things.

Oh don't give me that pouty face "oh but I know how to imagine things! depry derp!" of course you do! but hey, I'm talking about REALLY imagining, like escaping the dull, grey, boring rhythms of life and making some colour, I'm talking about dreaming in the day and cheering yourself up in a way you didn't know you could!

But that's for later, this is a "hi" so hi and I'm sure we will get to know each other very well!

But lets have a little fun to begin with, a little exercise in imagination.  By definition, imagination is "The ability to generate images and sounds within the confines of your mind." but it can do so much more.  We can all imagine an object, you can see its shape, its colour even its size and texture, but think about when you see someone get hurt in life or TV, imagine the pain and you can almost feel it. Think of a smell you love and you would swear you could almost smell it, the mind can do anything you want it to do.

So here is the exercise, imagine a ball, just a ball, it can be small or large, any colour, made of anything you will.  Now imagine the ball is in front of you, on a desk or the floor, on the windowsill or fireplace, don't close your eyes just look around and place the ball.

Now the ball will roll around, it will bounce or fall, move it around, it's your ball it will do what you want, have it rolling around the walls, bouncing on the ceiling whatever!  This is your ball, it can go anywhere you go, next time your stressed or bored, think of your ball, if your a passenger in a car or a train look out the window, see your ball rolling along the tracks or road, it runs up barriers and railings it will follow you forever and will never leave you, all it wants to do is entertain you.

The point of this is, this ball came from you, it is the simplest shape but every aspect of it came from your mind, do it long enough and you would swear you could really see the ball as if it was as real as your hand, and as we will discuss another time, it doesn't even have to be a ball.

But that's enough trippyness for now, we'll talk again soon, later toodles!
